A New Business Model

First generation biodiesel refineries and current petroleum production facilities and their distribution supply chains are rife with high costs and inefficiencies. These additional costs are typically borne by the customers and retailers, while the oil companies enjoy the bulk of the profits associated with providing oil and gas products. This model has always been necessary due to the capital costs and huge risks associated with oil and gas exploration and refining.

Today, a new bio-based business model is beginning to emerge that is much different in composition from the current petroleum industry business model.

Biodiesel is a major component of this new growth industry and with it comes a different way to produce and distribute fuel. Since different feedstocks for biodiesel are decentralized across the country, and since so far no one source exists in large quantities in any one place, the very nature of these feedstock materials creates an opportunity to improve the typical fuel model. Doing so while replacing the inefficiencies of centralized production and distribution with a localized plantation, production and distribution model. This allows us to sell directly to the government, commercial distributors, and retail end-user.

International Biodiesel is seeking partners in the transportation and distribution sectors, as well as local farming cooperatives for the feedstock plantations. We aim to capture integrated biodiesel production and distribution opportunities in the United States, Asia, Europe, and the rest of the world. We are creating an opportunity to dramatically streamline fuel production and distribution, by working with other governments, technology companies and even the local communities. This new business model will benefit everyone involved. Feedstock growers can get paid more for their product, governments can help their country and make up budget shortfalls, and consumers of diesel, get lower fuel costs. We lower Greenhouse gases by helping fill worldwide mandated biofuel blending. This model also guarantees a cleaner percentage of fuel supply, improved emissions output and adds lubricity to improve engine performance.

International Biodiesel Inc, is also interested in worldwide partnerships for biodiesel production. We are interested in working with lubrication manufacturers to discuss producing environmentally sound, bio-based lubricants as well.

Feedstock Plantations

Our fuel plantations cultivate non-edible Jatropha, Carmelita, Rapeseed and Finola, for their oils. At maturity, they are harvested pressed and processed into raw bio-crude oil. The leftover agricultural waste is then shredded for use in our biomass reactors. The raw feedstock oil is refined using our onsite refinery, into high quality bio-diesel. We then sell it to the government, locally or it is exported to the major biodiesel markets in Europe, Pacific Rim and Asia.  The purpose of this business model is to attract investment for our oil crop plantations and processing facilities while using exclusively non-edible feedstock. This will allow us to essentially fix our feedstock prices by not being subject to price fluctuations due to increased demand from human consumption. We also do not have the negative perception associated with the taking of food sources from people’s mouths, or driving up food prices.

So why Cyprus?

The answer lies in a unique
blend of competitive strengths for IBI;
-Strong political connections
-Prime geographical location with multiple harbors and easy access to global shipping lanes.
-Positive political, economical and social outlook.
-Extremely low corporate and sales taxation.
-Commitments by the national government to donate land and sign long-term biodiesel purchase agreements.
-Cyprus imports 100% of it's fuel and exports 0% of the same.
